It is expected that China will add 7,000 kilometers of new UHV lines in 2022, returning to the 2019 level. According to SMM data, the amount of aluminium per unit kilometer of UHVDC / AC line is about 55.2/63.4 tons, so it is estimated that the amount of aluminium used in UHV project is about 420,000 tons in 2022.
