Aluminium foil is primarily used in food packaging in two main forms: Aluminium-plastic or Aluminium-paper composite packaging, and multi-layer composite packaging of Aluminium, plastic, and paper. During a customer visit, the company identified a demand for high-end candy foil stock and promptly mobilized a team of production, sales, and research personnel to understand the customer's requirements. After detailed discussions, it was determined that the customer needed candy packaging Aluminium foil of alloy 8011, which requires a process involving cast-rolled stock followed by cold rolling and foil rolling. This process demands precise process control and production stability. The final product thickness ranges from 0.007 to 0.01 mm, only one-tenth the thickness of ordinary A4 paper.

To produce thinner candy packaging Aluminium foil with fewer pinholes and improved mechanical properties and surface quality, the company's technicians made significant efforts in alloy composition design, cast-rolling process control, and cold rolling heat treatment experiments. They incorporated additional Cu and Mn alloy elements into the alloy composition to develop a new, differentiated 8011 product. This new product not only enhanced product strength but also improved corrosion resistance. During production, the company strictly controlled metallurgical quality, implementing new requirements for key process control points such as the purity of raw Aluminium, melt refining, online degassing and slag removal, and standing plate parameters. These measures ensured rigorous quality checks at every step of the production process. To achieve better surface and shape quality, the company optimized and precisely controlled the cold rolling and heat treatment processes, focusing on pass distribution, pass reduction, spray lubrication, and annealing processes. After multiple production trials, the surface quality of the product steadily improved.

Given the product's application in food packaging, the company placed a high emphasis on food safety. They strictly controlled the content of harmful elements such as lead, cadmium, and arsenic in food-grade Aluminium during production to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. According to the Aluminium Exhibition, two batches of 430 tons of 8011 candy foil stock produced by Dongxing Jiayu New Materials Co., Ltd. have been delivered to customers and have received positive feedback. The products met or even exceeded all performance indicators and surface quality expectations, fully meeting the customers' requirements.
