aluminium conference| New Production Project to Manufacture 15,000 Tons of Photovoltaic Module Aluminium Frames and 10,000 Tons of Aluminium Alloy Supports Annually
On May 16, the Dongchuan Industrial Park within the Xining Economic and Technological Development Zone marked a significant milestone by initiating a new photovoltaic manufacturing industry project. This venture encompasses the construction of facilities aimed at producing 15,000 tons of photovoltaic module Aluminium frames and 10,000 tons of Aluminium alloy supports annually. This development represents a critical advancement in bolstering the supply chain of the photovoltaic manufacturing sector in the region.
This project is strategically designed to bridge industrial gaps, enhance the industrial structure, and foster high-quality industrial growth, thus propelling the evolution of new and high-quality productive forces in the area. "The launch of this project embodies a direct application of the significant directives issued by General Secretary Xi Jinping concerning the developmental strategies for Qinghai. It reflects a deliberate effort to adhere to the principles that officials must be proactive, ideas should be clear, and self-discipline must be stringent. Moreover, it is a tangible step towards expediting the development of one innovation base and three central cities," stated an official from the management committee of Dongchuan Industrial Park.
According to information from the aluminium conference, the project, executed by Qinghai Lvkun New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., represents a total investment of approximately 150 million yuan. It involves setting up four production lines for photovoltaic module Aluminium frames and two for Aluminium alloy supports. The factory is anticipated to be completed by the end of this year, with trial production slated to begin in the first half of the following year. Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of around 800 million yuan, contribute about 20 million yuan in annual tax revenue, and create over 200 job opportunities.
Over recent years, the photovoltaic industry in Xining has seen rapid expansion and now boasts a fairly comprehensive silicon material photovoltaic industry chain, which includes stages from polysilicon to monocrystalline silicon, from wafers to solar cells, modules, and photovoltaic supporting applications. Seizing the opportunity presented by this new project, Dongchuan Industrial Park is poised to continue its efforts in transforming and upgrading traditional industries, cultivating emerging sectors, and devising plans for future industries. This initiative aims to expedite the development of new productive forces and advance new industrialization, positioning the park as a leader in creating a high-quality, modern industrial hub in an ecologically civilized region.
