Aluminium Show|Three National Standards for Aviation Aluminum Materials Led by Southwest Aluminum to be Implemented
Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standards Commission issued the no. 1 national standard announcement in 2024, issued 406 national standards, among which 3 aluminum alloy national standards are compiled by Southwest Aluminum, filling the gap of national standards, will be implemented on October 1.
According to the Aluminium Show, among the three newly released national standards, “General Technical Specification for Aluminium Alloy Forgings for Aviation”, and “General Technical Specification for Aluminium Alloy Tubes, Bars, Profiles and Wires for Aviation” are new national standards. They are respectively applicable to the aerospace aluminium alloy die forgings, free forgings and aerospace aluminium alloy tubes, bars, profiles, wires, regulating the dimensions of the aerospace materials. The formulation of the two national standards is in respond to the need for the localization and internationalization of aviation materials, and the release and implementation of the two national standards fills the blank of domestic aviation aluminium standards, which is of great significance for improving the quality of China's aviation aluminium materials, breaking the monopoly of foreign high-end aluminium alloy materials, realizing the independent control of China's high-end aluminium alloy materials, and assisting in the development of domestic large planes in a faster and better way. “General Technical Specification for Aluminium Alloy Forgings for Aviation” is revised on the basis of the original national standard.
The release and implementation of the new standards is conducive to further improving the overall product quality and technical level of China's aluminium alloy industry, contributing to the promotion and application of new aluminium alloy products, and providing better services for the upgrading of domestic aluminium and aluminium alloy products as well as the demand of national key projects.
