The Office of the Leading Group for the Construction of "Zero Waste Cities" in Zhengzhou recently announced the list of "Zero Waste Cells" in Zhengzhou for the year 2023, totaling 260 cells across various sectors. Henan Mingtai Aluminum Co., Ltd. was honored with the title of "Zero Waste Factory."

According to the aluminium expo, the establishment of "Zero Waste Factories" is an indispensable part of supporting the construction of "Zero Waste Cities" and is a trend in achieving high-quality leapfrog development in the context of the "Dual Carbon" goals during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. In recent years, Mingtai Aluminum has adhered to the path of green, low-carbon, and sustainable development, focusing on the application and research of aluminum resource recycling, and has comprehensively built a new aluminum industry circular ecosystem with "Mingtai characteristics," leading the way in achieving large-scale recycling of aluminum resources.

The company proactively laid out the field of recycled aluminum in 2017, developed technology for the graded utilization of recycled aluminum, and expanded its recycled aluminum capacity from 100,000 tons in 2018 to the current 1 million tons. It became the first domestic enterprise to achieve large-scale recycling and graded application of recycled aluminum resources in the field of deformed aluminum, with its recycled aluminum technology at the forefront of the industry. In 2020, the company constructed the first aluminum dross wet comprehensive utilization production line in China, systematically solving the difficulties in the comprehensive utilization of aluminum dross, achieving the recycling and reuse of all by-products, and generating no wastewater or solid waste throughout the entire process.
