aluminium expo |Dongyang Guang's Low-carbon High-end Battery Aluminum Foil Project: High-standard Construction, Full Effort to Sprint for Production in June for Phase One
According to the aluminium expo, the first phase of the Dongyangguang Low-Carbon High-End Battery Aluminum Foil Project is scheduled to officially commence production in June of this year. Currently, the project is conducting trial production for some processes while further improving the supporting production facilities. Li Hongxing, the Vice General Manager of Yichang Dongyangguang Battery Foil Co., Ltd., stated, "We have a total of 9 rolling mills. At present, 6 domestically produced rolling mills have entered the trial production stage, exercising the technical proficiency of personnel and laying the foundation for the production process of battery foil. The installation of the 3 imported rolling mills is also planned to be completed by the end of June, entering the debugging stage."
These aluminum foil rolling mills complete the first step of battery aluminum foil production: rolling. Subsequently, the products here will undergo cutting and finishing, and finally packaging. To achieve high quality, the finishing process must be carried out in a cleanroom with a cleanliness level of 100,000, equivalent to the requirements of industries such as biomedicine, food and daily chemicals, and even aerospace. Currently, more than 100 construction workers are constructing the cleanroom under the assistance of aerial work platforms and arm-lifting vehicles, adhering to stringent standards. Li Hongxing explained, "The clean area covers an area of nearly 9,000 square meters, and all stainless steel flooring is used. All the exhaust and edge pipes inside are brought down below the ground because the logistics tools inside will weigh about 2 to 3 tons. With this layout, the noise and vibration in the entire clean area will be minimized, ensuring further cleanliness."
The construction of the cleanroom includes the installation of fire water pipes, air conditioning ducts, vacuum pipes, clean wall panels, and lighting fixtures, involving more than ten systems and dozens of processes. According to traditional processes, each process needs to be completed sequentially from top to bottom. However, due to tight deadlines and heavy tasks, the project adopts a cross-operation approach to shorten the construction time and ensure the project's production commencement in June.
It is understood that the Dongyangguang Low-Carbon High-End Battery Aluminum Foil Project has a total investment of 10.5 billion yuan, divided into three phases of construction. After all 9 rolling mills of the first phase are fully operational, the annual output of battery aluminum foil can reach 60,000 tons. After the entire project is fully operational, it will become the largest and most technologically advanced battery aluminum foil production base in China.
