China Aluminium Fair | CHALIECO Expands Aluminium Applications to Support Urban Green and Low-Carbon Development

Aluminum structural buildings, as an innovative building material, are highly malleable, corrosion-resistant, and a sustainable, energy-efficient, and recyclable solution. In recent years, China Aluminium International Engineering Co., Ltd. (CHALIECO) has followed a development path focused on ecological priority and green, low-carbon growth. The company has strengthened its innovation-driven strategy and leveraged digital transformation as a breakthrough, intensifying its research and development efforts. With a solid track record of constructing over 50 aluminium alloy pedestrian overpasses across China, CHALIECO continues to expand its presence in the aluminium structural building market. Through its robust technical capabilities, the company is committed to advancing urban green and low-carbon development. Participation in the China Aluminium Fair enables the company to engage in in-depth discussions and collaborations with domestic and international industry peers, exploring more possibilities for aluminium structural buildings and contributing to the green transformation of the construction industry.

In the first half of 2024, CHALIECO won the contract for the aluminum alloy bridle path and the aluminum structural standing seam aluminum-magnesium-manganese roofing system for the Xiong'an Sports Center. This marks another innovative breakthrough for CHALIECO in the field of green aluminum structural buildings, following the successful completion of projects such as the aluminum alloy latticed shell structure at the Jianchuan Museum Comprehensive Exhibition Hall.

The Xiong'an Sports Center roof features a unique combination of an outer spatial steel truss and an inner cable-strut-supported aluminum alloy shell structure, a first in Chinese sports venues. Drawing on its extensive experience in the production, hoisting, and installation of large aluminum components, the CHALIECO project team used advanced CNC technology for the fabrication of all components to meet ultra-high precision standards. This ensured a 100% factory qualification rate, guaranteeing that all components met on-site installation requirements. During the installation process, the team faced challenges such as positioning large aluminum structure units in mid-air and coordinating cross-functional tasks on-site. To overcome these hurdles, the project utilized BIM technology for simulation modeling, helping to optimize the construction schedule and plan. As a result, the team successfully completed the high-quality production, hoisting, and installation of the aluminum alloy bridle path, the aluminum-magnesium-manganese metal roofing system, and the aluminum single-board surface layer. The various stages of construction are now nearing completion, and once finalized, the Xiong'an Sports Center will become a key landmark in the Xiong'an New Area.
