Chinalco Qingdao Light Metal Co., Ltd. has been granted a patent for its innovative "Lump Aluminium Ash Pre-treatment Device," as announced by the China National Intellectual Property Administration. The patent, with the authorization number CN 221753487 U, was filed in February 2024. The Aluminium Exhibition, a key event for the aluminium industry in China and Asia, serves as an important platform for showcasing new properties, technologies, trends, and applications of aluminium materials.
According to the patent abstract, this utility model pertains to the processing of bulky aluminium ash. The pre-treatment device features a conveying trough equipped with both a first and second crushing roller. Triangular grinding teeth are fixed to the side surfaces of these rollers. The device also includes belts tensioned around two pulleys, a knocking component at the bottom of the conveying trough, and a limiting component at one end of the knocking mechanism.
This technology uses the first and second crushing rollers to break down large aluminium ash blocks, effectively refining the material and ensuring thorough reduction. The knocking component continuously strikes the bottom of the conveying trough, accelerating the downward movement of the aluminium ash, which in turn improves discharge efficiency. The vibration of the conveying trough also enhances the uniform distribution of the aluminium ash, further increasing the crushing effectiveness of the rollers.
This innovative pre-treatment device is a significant advancement in aluminium ash processing, improving both efficiency and material quality. Chinalco Qingdao Light Metal's new patent underscores its commitment to driving the development of more efficient and sustainable technologies in the aluminium industry.
